Five Army soldiers, including a Captain were remanded by the Avissawella Magistrate in connection with the killing of an Assistant Manager of the Liberty Plaza branch of the People’s Bank.

The 52-year-old Bank official was identified as Prematilleke Gunasinghe. His body was recovered by the Police sometime ago from Labugama Road in Kaluaggala.

Colombo Crime Detective Bureau arrested the suspects and produced them before the Avissawela Magistrate.
