An age old practice in tea boutiques has now entered the five star portals of the Colombo Hilton where you can have a cup of yara te, literally ``yard tea’’ at the Dilmah t-Bar. The tea is cooled by pouring it from one container to another from a height, just like in the te kadeys anywhere in the country. Pictured here is Chef Ravi (who’s got the height for it) "pulling’’ (te adinawa, they say in the boutiques) while Dilhan Fernando of Dilmah watches proceedings. (Picture by Jude Denzil Pathiraja) |
