TNA begins wooing Vavuniya voters
Tamil National Alliance leader and Trincomalee District parliamentarian R. Sampanthan along with a few other TNA parliamentarians have commenced electioneering in Vavuniya amidst tight police security.
The Vavuniya UC elections are scheduled for August 8 and political parties engaged in electioneering have been provided with special police security.
During his campaign, Sampanthan referred to the support extended to the Government by TNA Vanni District parliamentarian Sivanathan Kishore and said except for him the rest of the TNA MPs were supporting their political party, the Tamil Arasu Katchi.
