Mr. R.A. Ebell has been appointed to the board of Hayleys MGT Knitting Mills PLC with effect from July 17, the Colombo Stock Exchanged has been notified.

As reported in these pages last week, Mr. Nimal Perera, a close associate of Mr. Dhammika Perera, now the biggest individual shareholder of Hayleys, has joined the board of Hayleys PLC with effect from July 23 as a Non-Executive Director.

Other board appointments in quoted companies include that of Mr. Visal Wickramarathne to Watawala Plantations from July 21, Mr. William Lisle to Eagle Insurance from July 15 and Mr. T.K. Bandaranayake as a Non-Executive Independent Director to Nawaloka Hospitals from May 27.

Mr. N.A. Fernando has resigned from the board of Capital Reach Leasing from July 3, Ms. B.Y. Labrooy, alternate to Mr. O.R. Kreltszheim, from Stafford Hotels from July 17, Messrs. A.M. de S. Jayaratne and R. Seevaratnam from Kotagala Plantations from July 21 and Mr. Shoumitro Roye from Eagle Insurance from July 15, the CSE reported.
