JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva has written to Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake calling for his immediate intervention to stop the state-run media from manipulating media reports to the government’s advantage. In a letter to Dissanayake, Silva has said that a recent statement he made at Mahiyangana had been presented in a way to give undue advantage to the government.
