Mark Gooding, the Deputy High Commissioner of the
British High Commission will be visiting Shafi Nagar IDP Camp in
Puttalam on August 21 (today).
He is scheduled to meet members of a citizen committee
formed by the IDPs themselves and discuss their current issues.
Before visiting Shafi Nagar, the Deputy High
Commissioner will meet the Puttalam Government Agent to discuss the
issues related to Puttalam IDPs. The Deputy High Commissioner will visit
Puttalam on the way back from Vavuniya.
