Seats in the air conditioned Observation Saloon of the Podi Menike express train, plying between Colombo and Badulla, have been increased to 44 from the present 24 to meet the increased demand during the current school holidays.

The Podimenike leaves Colombo Fort at 5.55 a.m. and reaches Badulla at 3.55 p.m. while another leaves Badulla at 8.50 a.m. and reach Colombo Fort at 7.28 p.m.

The train with additional seats will leave Colombo Fort on August 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 while the one from Badulla to Colombo will be operated on August 21, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31.
