

KANDY – The Chief Minister of the Central Province pledged at Tuesday’s (08), meeting of the Central Provincial Council that allegations against the Principal of Sarasavi Uyana Vidyalaya, Getambe would be investigated.
Allegations against the principal were made at the meeting of the provincial Council by UPFA member Wilson Kuruppuarachchi.
Kuruppuarachchi told the council meeting, chaired by Council’s Chairman Saliya Bandara Dissanayake, that Sarasavi Uyana Vidyalaya was degenerating under the management of the principal and he should he be transferred for the benefit of the school and the students.
"If the Chief Minister does not transfer the principal from the school, action will be taken with the cooperation of the parents to prevent the principal entering the school", Kuruppuarachchi warned.
Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake, assured that he would take measures to investigate the conduct of the principal based on allegations by Provincial Council Member Kuruppuarachchi.
