

Pakistani had 64 pellets of heroin in stomach
A Pakistani national, arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport on Wednesday, was found to have 64 pellets of heroin in his stomach, police said yesterday.
The suspect was taken to Negombo hospital and a laxative was administered to recover the heroin, the police spokesman’s office said.He was produced before Negombo Magistrate and charged with the possession and distribution of heroin.
Police say that the man was arrested on arrival in Sri Lanka on information previously received.
