Colombo Dockyard PLC won the coveted gold award for the ‘Most Outstanding Exporter’ for the second consecutive year at the 2008 Export Awards organised by the National Chamber of Exporters last Friday. Sri Lanka’s exports took a hit because of the global financial crisis with earnings declining by 2.8 percent in the last quarter of 2008 which brought down growth to 6.5 percent for the year.
