The Moneragala District Terrorist Investigation Unit yesterday detected a consignment of 68 kg of ganja concealed in the boot of motor car and a van, ready to be transported to Colombo from Tanamalwila.

The ganja was being transported in the form of pieces and powder. The police also recovered a grinding machine with the consignment of ganja. The ganja weighing 48 kg packed in two gunny bags in the car and 20 kg of packeted ganja in the van.
