AMBALANGODA: UPFA candidate Sajin Vaas Gunawardane, who is contesting the southern provincial elections, prayed to the ‘Devol Deviyo’ at the Seenigama Devale in Hikkaduwa recently. He was requesting the deity to stop the UNP and the JVP leaders from accusing the government when they go abroad, thus ruining the reputation gained by defeating the LTTE.

He visited the Devalaya in the company of several hundreds of his supporters from the ten electorates of the district.

Central Province Chief Minister, Sarath Ekanayake, WPC member, R. Duminda de Silva and UPFA candidate, Sri Saliya Mendis were present on the occasion.
