The picture shows St. Joseph’s Balika athlete Shashiprabha Jayasinghe, who was adjudged the most outstanding athlete in the girls’ category receiving her award from Sports Minister Bandula Basnayake, the Chief Guest. She anchored the crucial third lap for their Under-20 4x400 metre team to establish a new record. Her award was for her performance in the 200 metres (24.96sec).
