A Rural Electrification Scheme, costing Rs. 5 million was declared open by Power and Energy Minister W. D. J. Seneviratne and Women Affairs’ Minister Sumeda D. Jayasena at Pahatha Arawa village in the Monaragala district recently. The scheme supplies electricity to 200 families. Minister Seneviratne switches on the lighting system while Minister Ms. Jayasena looks on. |
