Colombo Fashion Week is gaining a reputation as an important fashion week in South Asia. Recently CFW was featured in the current Vogue’s anniversary issue, . Vogue, is the most well known fashion monthly in the world with international editions in the fashion markets globally. Colombo Fashion Week is the most the covered event in Sri Lanka as well as internationally.

The October 2009 issue picked up seven best designers from the Colombo fashion week 2009, This only goes to show the success of CFW in promoting potential Sri Lankan designers This in turn also boosts the local fashion design industry by providing motivation and encouragement to young designers

Colombo Fashion Week sees this international media exposure as an important step for making Sri Lankan designers known in the region. "To us this is a matter of great satisfaction, seeing Sri Lankan talent being featured for the first time in the Vogue magazine " says  Ajai V Singh Founder and organiser of Colombo Fashion Week.

CFW 2009 was also featured in other important regional magazines like Elle, Jade, Hi Blitz etc. " There will be more exciting designers in 2010 adding to the a growing list of strong Sri Lankan labels and designers" says Ajai V Singh

Colombo Fashion Week 2010 is scheduled for Early February 2010.
