The Revenue Supervision Unit of the Customs has taken into custody parts of three vehicles worth five million rupees imported as spare parts.

Customs officers said since heavy taxes were imposed on imported vehicles the suspects had adopted that method.

The detection was made by a team under the supervision of Director Customs Jayanthi Gunawardane.
