

Police raids bring over Rs. 3 m to government coffers
Pamunugama police has contributed a record Rs. 3,404,500 to the government coffers by way of fines in cases filed in Wattala Courts, after raids on illicit liquor dens and heroin distribution outlets, during the first nine months of the year.
The raids were conducted by OIC Crimes Inspector Prabath Kulathunga and officers under direction of OIC Pamunugama Inspector S. Jeevahastha.
