


Nishantha Muttuhettigama, elected to the Southern Provincial Council on the UPFA ticket has taken oaths as a member of the SP council before Justice of Peace and astrologer Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena.
Muttuhettigama did not take oaths at the Presidential Secretariat before President Mahinda Rajapaksa along with others elected to the council last week. On the day of the swearing in ceremony, the former Akmeemana organizer left for Singapore on a brief private visit.
Responding to The Island queries, the politician said that he would like to take up residence in the UK as quickly as possible.
