Yesterdays turnover registered an improvement from Rs.325 million to Rs. 630 million. However both indices declined with ASi moving down to 2964.19 a drop of 12.74 points (-0.43%) and MPI losing 10.60 points (0.32%) at 3323.24.

Among the transactions which crossed the 500,000 threshold by volume , value discounted, were Colombo Land 1,097 mn at Rs. 6.50 losing =/25 cts,ts, JKH 3,737 mn at Rs. 141.25 losing =/25cts, Piramal Glass 2,852mn at Rs.2.10 (n/c), Seylan Bank (n/v) 0.991mn at Rs. 17.50 losing =/25cts and Vallibel 1,323mn at Rs.4.60 (n/c).
