Traffic on the Akkaraipattu-Pottuvil road was disrupted yesterday after a steel bridge situated near STF base at Kanchanakudah collapsed due to heavy rains. Police headquarters last night advised people to use Ampara-Siyambalanduwa-Pottuvil road until the bridge was repaired.
