Padmini Karunanayaka, Director of Golden Key Credit Card Company Private Limited, was released from remand custody yesterday.

The Registrar of the Supreme Court, M. M. Jayasekera, yesterday authorised the committal for the release of Karunanayake, after the latter paid Rs. 5 mn in cash bail with five sureties signing a bond and thereafter, Karunanayake submitting a testified bail bond for Rs. 100 mn.

The Supreme Court a few days ago ranted Chairman G. K. Dr. Lalith Kotalawala and Director Karunanayake bail.

A group of depositors of GK had complained to the Supreme Court of the GK failing to repay their deposits.
