Baddegama Magistrate Lal Wijeweera yesterday ordered a trader who was found guilty of selling a kilogramme of Nadu rice for Rs 72 when the stipulated price was Rs 60, to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.

The Trader was K. P. Piyadasa of Yakkalamulla.

The raid was conducted by the officers of the Consumer Affairs Authority.
