KANDY - A three-and-a-half year old boy died at the Kandy General Hospital after consuming surgical spirit.

The child had been transferred to Kandy General Hospital from the Nawalapitiya Base Hospital the previous day.

However, the parents of the child ‘Vidura’ have lodged a complaint at Kandy Police situation that they suspected that a wrong treatment was given to the child at Nawalapitiya hospital when he was first admitted to it.
