Strikes and protests

If one views the JVP’s luring of university students and the workers to take part in protests, strikes, and rallies as tactics to mislead the people again, then one is only trying to kill the messenger again.

Instead of calling names and blaming others, it would be more helpful for everyone concerned to look into the factors that are creating these situations. When becoming filthy rich at the expense of the majority has become the universal norm, except in a handful of states, when workers are being exploited and discarded in thousands, when the barrel of the gun has replaced the law and order, what else can the armchair critics expect? Without the ability to understand the fundamental flaws in an economic system called Capitalism, which is practically the bastard of imperialism, initially created to protect and preserve the ill-gotten wealth of the super rich, one cannot expect to understand the causes of the present global economic crisis.

The cures will be temporary if the flawed economic system stays basically the same. Any solution evolved for any crisis within such economic system only gives rise to more problems and grievances for the working people. History will repeat itself.

I hope I have enlightened the modern "Enlightened Capitalist" who still tends to think that free market capitalism is the ultimate solution.
