

German Ambassador Stefan Weckback recently told a visiting German delegation that this was the time to invest in Sri Lanka as the country enjoyed its freedom after 25 years.
He said that people could now visit any part of the country without any fear. He asserted that this was an opportunity for business investment as Sri Lanka was planning several development projects.
A 50-member delegation led by Ernest Vleer Kolone, President of the Cologne Chefs Association is in Sri Lanka on a fact finding mission on the invitation of Western Province Tourism Minister Nimal Lanza.
In a brief address Lanza said, "After 30 years of war, today, we are relieved of uncertainty and once again can breathe, relax and wander throughout Sri Lanka without any fear.
He expressed confidence that their visit would help improve Sri Lanka’s image abroad.
