KANDY: Governor Central Tikiri Kobbekaduwa has decided to take to full-time politics.

It is likely that Mr. Kobbekaduwa will resign his present post of governor for this purpose.

Governor Kobbekaduwa is keen on supporting President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his endeavour to develop the country after liberating it from terrorism.

Mr. Kobbekaduwa has been in active politics since 1994 when he entered the Kandy Municipal Council.

He was subsequently appointed the Chief SLFP Organiser for Yatinuwara.
