The garden of the Ceylon Continental Hotel was converted into a paradise by night when the FEE Group celebrated their introduction into Sri Lanka. There were cabrets and special guests and to entertain were recording artiste Angie Brown, and "From Britains got talent" Greg Pritchard whose mezzo-soprano voice was strong and vibrant, and a revelation to the Sri Lankans. Nevertheless Greg in his Elvis Presley attire captivated the guests.

There was a mouth watering spread around the garden with the guests sauntering to the action stations, with cocktails in hand, to partake of the good things, while there was music for dancing which those present made good use of.

There were many expatriates and perhaps some who had come out to make the event a part of their visit to Sri Lanka.
