Deputy Fisheries Minister Neomal Perera, yesterday told The Island, that India had agreed to release them along with nine fishing vessels following representations made by President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Basil Rajapaksa, MP. He said that they had been arrested by Indian authorities while poaching in India’s territorial waters.
