

Employers who are interested in taking them in, are keen to know whether these graduates have the correct attitude. However we do not have a proper system to verify this. When taking a school leaver into employment, it is necessary that they obtain a character certificate from the Principal of the school. But in the case of university students, there is no such system to check their suitability for employment. If we could introduce a system whereby confidential records are maintained in universities in respect of each student, and prospective employers could refer to the authorities and obtain a confidential opinion with regard to a particular student, students would be more careful with regard to their behaviour.
