The much awaited final of the CEAT Premier League Soccer Tournament, between Kalutara Park SC and Java Lane SC will be played today, commencing 3.30 pm, at the City Football Complex, Colombo.
The match was to be played last Saturday at the same venue, but heavy rains and slippery ground conditions compelled officials to postpone the game.
Kalutara Park SC beat fancied Kandy York SC in a close encounter by 1 goal to nil last week, to qualify for the final, while Java Lane SC edged out Pelicans SC 1-0 in the other semi final, which was played at Kurunegala.
The winning team will carry away the prestigious CEAT Trophy plus Rs. 300,000, while the runner-up will walk away with the CEAT runner-up trophy and Rs. 200,000.
The chief guest at the final will be Randeep Narang, Managing Director/CEO, CEAT Kelani Associated Holdings (Pvt) Limited, while Ravi Dadlani, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, CEAT Kelani Associated Holdings will be the guest of honour.
