      Editorial:No fight though hat is in the ring?  Politics:General Fonseka as ‘Siri Sangabo’  

The widely expected early presidential election may not take place ahead of scheduled parliamentary polls. The bottom line is that the government may not alter the polls time table and would face the Opposition at general elections in April next year rather than face a common candidate backed by the entire Opposition including the JVP at a presidential election.

Deal with India’s Apollo ends tomorrow
The Lanka Hospitals Corporation which owns Apollo hospital in Colombo it will end its deal with India’s Apollo Hospitals Enterprises next week and stop using the Apollo brand name, the owning company said in a Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
