Dayananda warns the general public not to purchase any gold coins from
unauthorized persons as there is racket of selling gold plated metal
coins.
"This business is known as Maranchi Business and a lot of rich people
have been cheated," he said.
Among the complainants were popular cricketers, heads of government
departments and rich businessmen, he said.
Several Maranchi dealers had been tried and punished but the racket
continued, the DIG said.
