The feature article under the above caption by Lucian Rajakarunanayake which appeared in The Island on Saturday the 14th is quite hilarious and quite fitting. My only regret is that the word "dumb" is too mild.

Will any fool ever come forward to contest President Mahinda Rajapakse, just to hand over power to Ranil in six months time, unless he is a born idiot?

General Fonseka is the greatest soldier of this century not only in Sri Lanka but of the whole world that totally eliminated the most ruthless terrorist organisation in the world.

Ranil, among other betrayals was:

= The man responsible for the betrayal of our crack team of commandos, who were attached to the Long Range Reconnaissance Unit of the Army.

= the person who signed the CFA without the knowledge of his own Cabinet and the President that gave the LTTE freedom to import and collect massive shipments of arms to be used against our own soldiers;

=who ordered the release of a ship, an arms storehouse, that was intercepted by the Navy in the seas near Trincomalee.

They say people mature with the age. In this case they become dumber with age.

As suggested by Lucian, let us send an SMS to Ranil, "U’R 2 dumb 4 politiks". It’s short, not sweet, but the bitter truth.
