Southern Provincial Councillor Nishantha Muthuhettigama yesterday attended the inaugural session of the sixth Council. He arrived in a Prisons bus and was cordially received by all members.

The Councillor, who is in remand custody, told journalists that he would contest the next parliamentary election from the Galle district and he would never leave the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. He also said that irrespective of any party decision, he would always support the President.
