Weerasinghe, Sampath hit centuries for Bens
Left handers Rukshan Weerasinghe and Sandun Sampath scored unbeaten tons for St. Benedict’s College to post 289 for three wickets, before rain ruined the first day’s play in their Under-19 match against President’s College, which commenced at Kotte, yesterday.
Weerasinghe and Sampath were involved in an unbroken fourth wicket partnership of 192 runs before the first day’s play was cut short, minutes before tea.
Weerasinghe’s unbeaten 101 came in 101 balls and included 12 fours and one six while Sampath took 120 balls for his knock which included 10 fours and two sixes.

Sulochana’s six for ties up Cambrians
Spinner Samitha Sulochana picked up six wickets for Isipatana College who skittled out Prince of Wales College for 112 runs on the first day of their Under-19 match which commenced at Colts Grounds, yesterday.
In reply, Isipatana were 45 for two wickets when rain ended the first day’s play early.
