Rain spoils Bens’ party

The second day of the Under-19 cricket match between St. Benedict’s and President’s College was called off as a result of heavy rain at Kotte, yesterday.

The second day saw only five overs were bowled where President’s College scored 15 runs for the loss of one wicket.

On the first day Rukshan Weerasinghe and Sandun Sampath scored unbeaten centuries for St. Benedict’s College to post 289 for three wickets.

The second day of the Under-19 match between Isipatana College and Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa, was called off without ball being bowled at Colts Grounds, yesterday
