Turnover down, indices move in opposite directions

Yesterdays turnover resulted in a drop from Rs. 580 million on Friday last week to Rs.254 million. The indices however moved in opposite directions with ASI declining from 2,933.35 to 2,931.07 and Milanka gaining, through slightly from 3,333.56 to 3,345.00.

Among the transactions which exceeded the 500,000 threshold were CIC 1,281mn at Rs. 55.25 losing =/75cts, Seylan Bank (N/V), 1,087mn at Rs.15.75 (n/v)Vallibel 0.609mn at Rs.4.90 losing =/10cts, Marawila Resorts (Rights) 1,372mn at =/40 cts losing =/20cts Seylan Merchant (n/v) 0.810mn at =/70 cts (n/c).

Losers outpaced gainers by 67 to 39.
