Stop Election Violence

It is election time once again. For the majority of the voting public, this is not a time of anticipation and excitement or a time to look forward to new faces or old faces who will provide better living standards but a time to watch goons being unleashed to wreak havoc. Violence and hooliganism, backed by politicians, has become part and parcel of electioneering. It is only the public that can put a stop to this. Any party or candidate who feels that the only way to win an election is by thuggery, is not fit to govern the country and will continue to use violence with greater confidence if elected. Therefore my fervent hope is that the voting public will not use their valuable vote to bring such persons to power. The statement that the voter deserves the government they vote for is indisputable.
