Mahindra & Mahindra Donates 575DI Tractor

Mahindra & Mahindra of India donated a brand new Mahindra 575DI tractor to Hon. Basil Rajapakse to be used for developmental work in the North and East. The handing over of the tractor was done by Ranjith Pandithage (Chairman – DIMO) along with representatives of Mahindra.

Mahindra tractors have been present in Sri Lanka for over 18 years in alliance with Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO). In countries like India and Sri Lanka, which are largely dependent on imports to meet their fuel requirements, fuel saving assumes prime importance. This is where Mahindra tractors enjoy a major advantage over competitive offerings. Comparative demonstrations in Sri Lanka have shown that savings from Mahindra 575DI tractor fuel consumption over other popular brands up to 2 liters per hour. This by translates into a savings of up to Rs. 150,000 per year on fuel consumption alone (basis current diesel prices). Mahindra tractors are amongst the most fuel efficient tractors in the world.
