

World champion Stunt Rider to thrill fans today
World stunt riding supremo Christian Pfeiffer of Germany, who arrived in Sri Lanka on Thursday, will display his bag of tricks at two venues today.
His first performance will be at Town Hall, commencing 11.00 am followed by the second, at Parliament Grounds, from 7.00 pm onwards. His tour of Sri Lanka is sponsored by Red Bull.
Pfeiffer, 39, has been a professional stunt rider since 1996 and has performed at more than 100 venues all around the globe. Since 2000, he has intensively trained on big street bikes.
In 2003, Chris reached the high point of his career so far, when he was crowned stunt riding world champion in Bechyne, Czech Republic, in front of 15,000 cheering fans.
Three years ago, he won the prestigious US Street Bike Freestyle Competition, held in Florida and followed it up in 2007, when he won the Indoor World Championship.
Pfeiffer, who is married and has three children, is a four time world Stunt Riding champion (2003, 2007, 2008 and 2009) and four time European Stunt Riding champion (2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008).
