AMBALANGODA: An additional DIG has been appointed to the Southern Province.

DIG Jayantha Kulatillake, who was in-charge-of the whole province till recently has been appointed as the DIG for the SP division of Galle and Elpitiya while the newly promoted Niel Daluwatte has been appointed as DIG for the SP divisions of Matara and Tangalle.

Galle and Elpitiya SP divisions have twenty five police stations while Matara and Tangalle SP divisions have twenty nine.
