Monday, Dec 14, 2009: Kakinada: Thirty four Sri Lankan fishermen who were intercepted by Coast Guard (CG) near Nizampatnam of Guntur district in the early hours of Sunday were brought here for questioning.
However, the efforts of the Coast Guard and Fisheries Department teams proved futile as all of them knew only Sinhalese.
According to reliable sources, persons who could speak Sinhalese were requisitioned from Chennai.
They are expected to arrive and question the fishermen on Monday. (The Hindu)
