A special Police team on Monday, in a search operation
in Vellamullivaikkal, in the Mullaitivu District, recovered the slain
LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran’s personal weapon, an M 16 A 2 rifle
with folding butt, and body armour along with a cache of weapons and
explosives used by the terrorist outfit.
