Navy recovers over 1000
kgs of C4 Acting on information received from an LTTE cadre in custoday, the Navy had recovered 1004 kgs of C4 plastic explosives buried at Mollikulam, Silavathurai on the north-western coast. Navy headquarters spokesman Captain Athula Senarath told The Island that the explosives had been found stored in a 1000 litre plastic water barrel. He said that this was the largest recovery made since the end of war in May last year. (SF) |
