Acting on information received from an LTTE cadre in custoday, the Navy had recovered 1004 kgs of C4 plastic explosives buried at Mollikulam, Silavathurai on the north-western coast. Navy headquarters spokesman Captain Athula Senarath told The Island that the explosives had been found stored in a 1000 litre plastic water barrel. He said that this was the largest recovery made since the end of war in May last year. (SF)
