A lecturer of the Karapitiya Medical Faculty, Jayantha Suriyarachi of Unawatuna, was killed in a motor cycle accident on Monday night at Koggala.

The motor cycle he was riding crashed into a lorry proceeding towards Matara from Galle. He died on admission to Karapitiya Hospital.

Habaraduwa Police were conducting investigations under the direction of Galle SP Sisira Kumara.
