Richmond cruise to innings win

Richmond College, Galle cruised to an innings and 110 run victory over Revata College as all-rounder Irosh Samarasooriya followed up his unbeaten 201 runs with a match bag of five wickets in their Under-19 tournament match ended at Galle yesterday.

Forced to follow on after being bowled out for 102 runs, a top score of 78 runs from Janith Chathuranga was the only consolation for Revata, as they folded up before tea for 175 runs in second innings.

Lumbini 100, Cambrians 148/6

Off-spinner Nipun Peiris picked up his first five wicket haul to restrict Lumbini to 100 runs before Isuru Thilina top scored with 66 runs for Prince of Wales College to post 148 for six wickets at close on the first day of their Under-19 match at BRC ground yesterday.

Isuru Thilina went pass the 500 run mark with his half century in what was his 11th innings for the season.

Asanka’s four wickets trouble

Moratu Vidyalaya

Left-arm-paceman Asanka Silva picked up four wickets to restrict Kalutara Vidyalaya to 123 runs before Moratu Vidyalaya posted 177 runs on the first day of their match started at Moratuwa yesterday.
