Police arrested the driver of Ven. Dambara Amila thera, who is alleged to have fraudulently obtained money from persons by promising employment overseas.
The suspect was hiding in a temple in Neluwa.
The accused Vishan Janith is being interrogated by the CID.
Earlier police arrested Ven. Amila and released him on bail.
His driver is an ex monk police said.
