Moratu Vidyalaya amass mammoth 467 for 9
Moratu Vidyalaya took command in their match against President’s College as Sanka Ramesh and Janindu Devinda scored centuries to post a mammoth 467 runs for nine wickets at close in reply to the visitor’s 130 runs on the first day of the Under-19 tournament match started at Moratuwa yesterday.
While Ramesh cracked 162 runs in 124 balls (22x4s,4x6s), Devinda scored 118 inclusive of 13 fours and five sixes. They put on a fifth wicket stand of 219 runs.

Kumara resurrects Mahanama
Mahanama College recovered from being 124 for nine wickets at one stage to post 187 runs as Indunil Kumara hammered an unbeaten 92 runs in 66 balls (11x4s 6x6s) on the first day of their Under-19 match against Nalanda College at Campbell Place yesterday.
Kumara put on a tenth wicket stand of 63 runs with Dilshan Rusiru.
Later Nalanda posted 232 for six wickets at close with Adeesha Nanayakkara top scoring with an unbeaten 50 runs for them.
