The government is considering the possibility
of introducing maritime trade regulations as unethical and
uncompetitive practices continue to hurt the island’s economy,
Treasury Secretary Dr. P. B. Jayasundera said addressing the annual
awards ceremony of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers recently.
